HERITAGE PHILOSOPHY

The Legacy of the Lion, The Heart of a Yorkie

The surname Singh finds its origins in the ancient Sanskrit word Sinha, meaning "lion". Historically, the name was a title of power, bravery, and leadership, and in 1699, it was adopted by the Sikh community as a revolutionary symbol of social equality and collective strength.

While we honour this "lion-hearted" heritage, our family’s modern identity is defined by a different kind of courage and devotion. In a unique evolution of our tradition, we have adapted our family crest to feature a Yorkshire Terrier in place of the lion. This change pays tribute to our beloved companion of over 16 years—a small but mighty spirit who has been the heart of our home. For us, the Singh legacy of protection and loyalty is best embodied by her, proving that the greatest strength often comes in the most devoted packages.
